1. What is network marketing? Network Marketing is a Multi-level marketing businesses function by enrolling non-salaried sales representative (also called Distributors, Independent Business Owners, Franchise Owners, Sales Consultants, Consultants, Independent Agents, etc...) to sell their products. In the process these salespeople advertise "market" the product for the parent company and meanwhile earn sales commissions based on their sales and the sales of people enrolled into their down-line "network", i.e. an organization of people that includes direct recruits, recruits' recruits and so on". Some company offer incentives to recruit new prospects by paying a fee to the recruiter similar to a finders fee. This fee cannot be the only form of income in the network.

2. How does the system works? The system works by allowing you to generate income through your work and through the work of the people you recruit. This normally goes three to four deep and money is paid on a percentage basis of their income. With a network marketing business, your recruits could make more money than you could if they work harder than you do.

3. Is network marketing legal? Network marketing is legal, and governed by strict regulations in most countries. In fact the laws governing MLM is much more strict than those for conventional businesses.

4. What is the difference between a pyramid scheme and network marketing? Pyramid schemes are non-sustainable business models that involve the exchange of money primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme, usually without any product or service being delivered. It is an illegal scam. Only the people at the very top make any money. Network marketing is a legal governed business model. Every one involved can make substantial money. Income is determined by actual work performed. A recruit can eventually earn more than their upline. Unlike in a pyramid scheme a recruit will never make more money than his upline, or worst if he makes any money at all.

5. What is my income potential? Your income potential is determined by your input into the business. The harder and more dedicated you are to the business the higher your income potential. The great thing about this system is that you can make more than your upline. That is not even a thought in a conventional everyday job. You making more money than your boss (owner). That will never happen, not if you continue to work for that same boss.

6. What are my chances of success in a network marketing business? This question is misleading and tricky. Your success depends solely on you. This is a business and like any other business the harder you work the more successful you will be. This also depends on how you measure your success. What you consider to be successful. The initial input in the business is normally much lower than for a regular business. This makes it easy to see success when you make an income that exceeds your expense although you may not yet be financially free. However, your chances of success are much better than at a regular job.

7. Is this system the same as a “get rich quick” scheme? No it is not. It is only perceived that way because of those half-truths and exaggerated lies in the advertising world hoping to entice everybody to join their business. Get rich schemes are the same as pyramids, they are scams. Network marketing business is not a scam. You get out what you put in. The harder you work the more successful you will be. Anybody thinking that by joining a business they can get rich and fire their boss in thirty days without doing any work probably should not be starting a business in the first place.

8. How can I choose a good reliable and honest company? By doing research. You are joining a business to be successful and should not settle for anything that is not going to allow you to achieve that. First, you have to choose a business that you have a passion for or are willing to learn more about. Then chose a business that has a history or took the time to register with a governing body like B.B.B or D.S.A .

9. Will I have to spend lots of money to start? This is my favorite question. The answer is a big no but that no is also blurry. In most network marketing business, you need very little overhead to start compared to traditional businesses for example a franchise.. That is the beauty of the network marketing business model. However People normally try to replace their time and effort with money. That is where it start to become costly. They do this in areas which they are not familiar with for example building a website. If you choose to replace time with money then you could end up spending a lot more to start and eventually run your business. On the other hand putting in that quality time could yield you great results without that large down payment.
