That Is The Million Dollar Questions that are asked everyday about this exciting business.
People interested in joining a Multi-Level Marketing company are constantly double guessing their decisions because of all the skepticism surrounding the business model.
Well here are two answers to this hard pressing questions of concern. They were derived from intense Internet research. One of the answers is from Wikipedia and the other is from Network-Marketing-Facts.

Network-marketing is just another business model.
That is the simplest and best explanation that I have for it. This definition seems simple enough and to the point as can be. It is very similar to a franchise business or most other business models. There can be multiple levels of people receiving royalties from one person's sales like with any other company. This is a legitimate business structure. It is designed to save on advertising cost for the parent company by allowing independent distributors to promote the products or services in an effort to create an income for themselves. |
Okay another name for this business is Multi-level marketing or MLM for short. It is a business model that combines direct marketing with franchising. Companies use this network method of marketing to cut cost of advertising and other marketing expenses. Members get paid commission based on their sales and the sales of other recruits in their downline. This normally goes down to three tiers. The downline system is another form of ‘word of mouth’ advertising. Information of a product goes from one person to another without expensive advertisement from the company. Each downline tries to capitalize on that product by selling it to more recruits, which in turns equate to more sales for that parent company.
Despite what you may have heard about this business it is not a pyramid scheme. I want you to recognize those differences which I will explain in further details on this site. However I want to implant in your knowledge bank that pyramid schemes are out there and are very similar in structure to this business so you have to be very careful. Unlike a pyramid scheme,the more recruits, the more money for everyone involved not just the few at the top of that pyramid structure.
Then What went wrong in the business
Dishonest people have manipulated and exploited this system of doing business. To accomplish their unrealistic dreams they lie to new recruits. They boast of exaggerated income and misrepresent the length of time it took to get it. I call that " Half Truth". They only tell the good half of the complete success story. They leave out the true network-marketing facts. the facts that helped to get them to the level that they now enjoy. They hand down this water-down process to their new recruits. The recruits repeat the process through to their downline. Each new recruit jumps in hoping to be rich the next day because of these enticing incentive plans.
These sweet incentive plans most times never fulfilled as promised. Many times a lot of money is lost. Most of it is because of lack of effort and commitment, by those new recruits whose sole goal of joining the business was just to make some quick easy money as advertised. That attitude filled with greed and deceitfulness has tarnished the idea of Network or Multi-Level Marketing. Now unfortunately especially on the Internet, this business model is considered a scam.
Here at Network Marketing Facts we know that it is NOT.
So I ask...
- How can we fix that?
- How can we change these misconceptions?
- How can we make this business model an honest success story for everyone willing to give it an honest try?
- How can we end the Frustration and become a successful Network or multi-level Marketers?

So why did I join this method of doing business?
The fact is that I joined this business because it is the easiest and best method for struggling individuals like myself, to start a profitable business legally and without a huge initial operating cost. All you need to be successful with this model is a true commitment to the business you choose, a little extra effort and perseverance.

Network Marketing It's an Asset, Not a Job
I am sometimes asked, "Why do so few people make it to the top of their network marketing system?"
The truth is, the top of the network marketing system is open to everyone-unlike traditional corporate systems, which allow only one person to reach the top of the company. The reason most people do not reach the top is simply because they quit too soon. So why would someone quit short of the top?
Most people join only to make money. If they don't make money in the first few months or years, they become discouraged and quit (and then often bad-mouth the industry!). Others quit and go looking for a company with a better compensation plan. But joining to make a few quick dollars is not the reason to get into the business.
