Buying Leads, are they worth it.? Is it profitable for your network marketing business?

The process to buy leads online!

How do you do that?

Why buy leads?

What are leads?

Are there different types of leads?

Are they allqualified customers?

All these questions pop up when you hear about buying leads for the first time in network marketing and they should. I am going to try to help to break it up, reorganize it and help you to understand the process. Purchasing prospect or buying leads is a simple but tricky process. It is also full of empty promises so you have to be very careful.

To Start...

What are leads?

Leads in network marketing refer directly to a sales leads.

"A sales lead is the identity of a person or entity potentially interested in purchasing a product or service, and represents the first stage of the sales process. Sales leads come from either a marketing lead generation processes such as trade shows, direct marketing, advertising, Internet marketing or from sales representative prospecting activities such as cold calling." adapted from: Wikepedia

Are there different types of leads?

Yes, in fact there are three main categories of leads.

1. Cold leads: these people gave consent to use their information but are not interested in doing any business now. They may not even pick up the phone or participate in a sales conversation.

2. Warm leads: these are cold leads that have a slight interest in doing business if it attracts them. They have to be sold during your sales conversation.

3. Hot leads: these are warm leads that are willing to do business if the price is right. They already have interest in your pitch and are merely waiting for that extra push to do business.

If buying leads is a must then you want to buy HOT LEADS

Are they all qualified customers?

"For a sales lead to be qualified as a sales prospect, a qualification process must be performed and evaluated. Typically this involves identifying by direct interrogation the leads availability of funding, product applicability and time frame for purchase." adapted from: Wikepedia

Therefore, a lead has to go through a process of qualifying stages before they become a customer. In other words, we have to know whether they have money and are ready to do business. So for the most part yes, they are qualified as leads that could become customer.

As far as qualified customers go, then the answer is a big NO. They may never do business with you, whether they are hot, warm or cold. So they are qualified leads but not qualified customers.

Leads are not customers yet. "A customer is a person or group that does business with you or an establishment and returns over and over." Be careful if you are buying leads for your business, not to fall under the impression that they will actually do business with you automatically. You still have to give that extra push to finalize the sale.

Now the big question: Why buy leads?

There are a few situations when buying leads is ok . When you are just starting you can purchase a few leads preferably warm leads. They are the best bargain cold leads are a waste of money and hot leads are too expensive especially for beginners. Buying leads will help you practice your sales pitch and get you comfortable. because they are warm they are more likely to do business with you. Once you sign up a few people and you feel confident then it is time to generate your own leads.

How do you do that?

How do you buy leads? Easy, just search any search engine on the Internet for leads. There are many companies that live off the sale of people information. You can buy them by the day week month year or lifetime membership or you can buy quantity packages 250, 300, 1000 and so on. There is also the pay per click, which is a modified method for buying leads. In this case, you only pay for the ones that click on your ads. Most of them are between warm and hot.

To make money online with a website or through network marketing is no different from running any other traditional business. All the rules still apply. You must invest to expect a return. You have to manage your expenses do not overspend. You have to try to keep cost down in other to maximize profits. So, is buying leads worth it? Not at all, especially if they are cold leads. I personally prefer to buy ads than cold leads. Although they are pretty much the same thing, buying an ad space is much more profitable.

When you purchase leads, it is like buying one ad. The investment stops here. Now you have to hope that, this lead actually buys from you to create a return. My logic to this method of advertising is simple. Whey you buy lets say 300 leads, you actually bought one sales lead 300 times. You have to repeat that waiting and hoping process each time for each lead. That is not good business.

On the other hand, when you buy ads you only pay for one but you can have multiple contacts. These contacts can easily be turned into prospects. That seems to be a much better proposal. One ad could bring you say 300 leads. Each of these leads saw something that attracted them to you. This increases their chances of buying from you tremendously. That is good business. That is how you make money online.

I must maintain though that  the best way to obtain leads is to generate your own . You do this by creating a great website. One built on good content and relevant keywords. One that ranks high at the search engines. To make money online by building such a website click here or simple take some time to view this video.
