Bad at MLM or bad at Business in General?

It is unfortunate that there are people in the industry that have to resort to using such hype and misleading information as a means of trying to impress their prospects. If it sounds too good to be true it generally is and I find it embarrassing that there are people in the industry that are using such misleading propaganda. The sad thing is that this not only can damages the reputation of the individual but more importantly the reputation of the whole Network Marketing Industry.

I agree that there is so much misleading information about network marketing on the Internet and whilst there are definitively people who have had bad experiences, there are also plenty of people who have had positive experiences as well. One of the main reasons for the high failure rate can be attributed to the lack of qualifications by people working in the industry, after all network marketing is a sales and marketing industry, but how many people have qualifications in either sales or marketing? Additionally when they realize that sales and marketing isn’t as easy as they were lead to believe, it is easier for these people to walk away and blame the industry for their failure as opposed to putting in the necessary time and commitment required to become successful. Whilst there are plenty of people who fail at network marketing I wonder how successful these same people would have been at starting any other traditional business. Is it that they just fail at network marketing, or is it more that they fail at running a business in general?
