tried to convince me to buy a certain package from his company. The
gentleman told me that I only qualified for one special package because
of the mileage on the truck. He explained the benefits of the package
that he was offering. He went over the terms and the condition. Then he
asked me to sign up and make a deposit. I said I am not ready to sign up yet I am still shopping. He asked one more time and I gave the same answer, that I was not ready yet. That made him switched. It seems as if the selling script that he was reading to me did not cover the part of a prospect declining an offer. This man went on and on trying to prove to me that his deal was the best. He mentioned everything from prices to coverage. From laws to requirements. Never once did he mention about a competitor package. He just kept on saying that his was the best. I calmly told him that I could not accept his offer at this time as the best until I saw some other quotes. I went on to explain to him that for something to be best there must first have to a good and then a better. You know, Good, Better, Best. I try to tell him that his was the first one and that I wanted to look at a few more offers before I made my choice. He was talking so much he did not even hear me. I had to ask him to stop talking. Money back guarantee will not always get the sale.The guarantee sounded solid but at that time during the process, he was no longer trustworthy to me. He began to look more like a tyrant. I did not want to do business with him anymore. Because he was so pushy, even if it could turn out to be the best one, his offer was of no interest to me. I tried to get one more word in but failed miserably. He still wanted to do all the talking to try to persuade me to buy from him. I hung up the phone. I had to.
